Before you choose your customisation options for a folding umbrella you need to consider your lead time first. This will determine the model of umbrella you can choose for your lead time.

Short lead time – “I need folding umbrellas quickly!”

Our stock UK folding umbrellas are already made up, include a manual opening mechanism and available in 32 colours. They can be overprinted and delivered to a UK address within 2-3 weeks. If you have a specific lead time in mind, then let us know and we’ll see what we can do to accommodate it.

Longer lead time – “I have time to really personalise the folding umbrella!”

If you have longer than 6 weeks to create a really personalised umbrella then we would manufacture in the far east which offers more options to customise your product, from print methods to handle options.

Printed folding umbrellas             

Depending on your lead time and design, then we will offer the most appropriate print method available for your artwork. Those print options include:

• Logo printing: artwork printed within an area of an umbrella panel. Usually a screen print.
• All over print: artwork is printed all over the panel and this can be a digital or screen print.
• Photo print: a photograph is printed either on one panel, all 8 panels or across all 8 panels and matched up. This would be a digital print.
• Internal print: this can be screen printed or digitally printed on individual panels or across all 8 internal panels to suit your artwork.

Customisation options for custom folding umbrellas

To make your umbrella unique, you can further add to the customisation with a few options. They include:

Pantone matched panels: you can let us know what your Pantone references are and we can either match exactly on a printed folding umbrella that takes 6 weeks to manufacture or we can show you our stock colours and see if one is close to your brand colours and we can deliver within 2-3 weeks. You can choose.

Carry sleeve: printed folding umbrellas can be supplied with carry sleeves that are Pantone matched, printed or include a woven label. They can be zipped, slip on or include a popper and carry handle.

Customised handle on folding umbrella: we offer a few different options on handles for our products. Our Auto Folding Deluxe umbrella has a crook handle. Our Auto Folding standard umbrella has a push button for the automatic opening mechanism set within the handle.

Choosing The Umbrella Workshop

Our range of umbrellas include three core models: golf umbrellas, walking umbrellas and folding umbrellas. Each model includes variants to suit your budget or lead time. It maybe you need an umbrella quickly and therefore we’ll offer you a UK manufactured umbrella which we can turn around within 2-3 weeks. Customisation options are limited to a logo print on a UK manufactured umbrella, but if you have a slightly longer lead time then we can print inside and outside of the umbrella. You can add a branded woven label to your customised umbrella or you can engrave a neck ring to a walking umbrella or a branded logo disk to a golf umbrella handle. 

Made to order umbrellas are customised in multiple ways. From printing inside and outside of the umbrella panels and matching the seams during construction for continuous prints, to the branded tie wrap which can be embroidered or printed. The umbrella carry sleeve can be personalised with print or with a strap.
